Booktainer® to Lions River Community marks 300th delivery for Bright Kid Foundation

The delivery of the Booktainer® to the Lions River Community in Kwazulu Natal in August marked a major milestone for Bright Kid Foundation, our 300th delivery since 2000. The Booktainer® is also the 48th delivery for the Zoë Carss Education Trust, an astounding achievement. Below are some pics and an excerpt from a letter sent by the Head of Stepp, Louse Taylor, concerning this historic occasion.

"I have attached photographs of the container that landed in Lions River last week Wednesday. Despite offloading before we arrived, it was placed in the right position and efficiently, which gave us enough time to clean and unpack before the school governing body and children arrived. The arrival of the container, so beautifully painted and filled with chairs, desks and educational toys, always boosts the community into which it is delivered. This was no exception. When a classroom of this exceptional standard arrives, the parents start to talk about education and take it more seriously in the lives of their children.

This particular STEPP/school partnership has so much work ahead and the delivery of the container has certainly taken the relationship with the community, and the development of the school, leaps and bounds ahead of where they were before it arrived. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
